Service Schedule & Pickup Requirements
- Place your provided 96-gallon receptacle at the roadside by 6:00 AM (or the night before), positioned at least 3 feet from the road on your scheduled pickup day
- Our drivers do not follow fixed routes or times, so early placement is required to avoid missed service.
Unacceptable Waste Materials
Adams Disposal only collects regular household trash. The following materials will not be accepted:
- Construction debris (shingles, sheetrock, bricks, lumber, etc.)
- Dead animals
- Hazardous waste (paint, chemicals, batteries, ammunition, etc.)
- Tires, metal, brush, or yard waste
Improper waste disposal may result in service suspension or additional charges.
Can Use Policy
- Only Adams Disposal–issued cans are permitted for service.
- We do not service barrels, personal bins, or cans provided by other companies.
- Use of unapproved containers may result in missed pickups or service refusal.
🛠️ Can Ownership & Damage Policy
- All receptacles remain the property of Adams Disposal.
- We will replace or repair cans due to normal wear and tear at no charge.
An $80 replacement fee will apply for damage caused by misuse, including:
- Burned, melted, or scorched cans
- Painting the can or applying stickers
- Chaining, bolting, or modifying the can in any way
- Animal damage (e.g., chewed lids or wheels)
🚫 Please keep cans unaltered and in their original condition to avoid extra charges.
💳 Billing & Payment Terms
- Payments are due on the 1st of each month.
- A late fee may be applied after the 10th if no payment or arrangement is made.
- Payments may be made:
❗ Please do not leave payments on or in your can. We are not responsible for payments not received in-office.
Payment Responsibility Reminder
Please note that it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure payment is made on time.
While we may make courtesy calls when possible, we do not guarantee reminder calls for past-due accounts.
If payment is missed:
- First, your pickup will be skipped.
- If still unpaid, the trash can will be scheduled for collection.
To avoid interruption in service, we recommend signing up for online payments or autopay.
❄️ Holiday & Weather Delays
- We observe only two holidays: Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
- If your regular pickup falls on one of these days, service will be delayed by one day for that week.
- Bad weather may also result in a one-day delay; updates will be posted on our Facebook page.
🔄 Account Changes, Moving, & Cancellations
- You are financially responsible for your account until Adams Disposal is formally notified of cancellation and the company-issued can is retrieved.
- If you move without notifying us, monthly fees and applicable charges will continue to apply.
- You may cancel or update your account by:
Example for temporary service holds: “Suspend from August 1 to October 31 and resume November 1.”
